"I will never stop using the life I almost lost to help save the lives of others" Join me in my efforts to support American Heart Association - Palm Desert, CA!

Most of you know that I had open heart surgery when I was a little boy. What you might not know is that my life was saved by research, for what at the time was a cutting edge technology. That research, was, in part, funded by the American Heart Association. So, for the last 13 years I have been giving back to AHA. I have been raising money and awareness about heart disease and stroke by participating in the American Heart Association’s Start! Heart Walk as well as other events. I have been asked to speak at many events here in the valley and in Los Angeles sharing my story so that people will be able to understand how important the work is that AHA does daily. You should know that almost 70% of the money that comes in to AHA is used for research and education. That's huge and really important to people like me. So, you know, there are a lot of bad things out there - but did you know that heart disease and stroke are still the number 1 and 3 killers of Americans. There is still plenty of work to be done. Please support this cause by making a donation. If you can make the donation here on line that would be great. If you can't and want me to pick up a check let me or my mom know and we'll make arrangements to pick up the check. And, hey, if you can come out and walk with me at the Heart Walk on Oct 31st that would be great!
